The Commander name was used on a variety of different Studebaker cars throughout the years, but was usually a mid-range model. For 1964, the last generation of the Commander, and the generation shown here, it was based on the Lark. Available for the Lark was a muscle car option called the Super Lark, which had high performance engines, including a supercharged one. This Commander is from the second to last year of Studebaker production, and exhibits period, hand painted, pin striping.
It is for sale in running, but not driving, shape for $950.
