1987 Renault GTA

The Renault GTA was a one-year sporty version of the AMC/Renault Alliance. Available as a coupe or convertible, the GTA was available in only a few colors, and was truly limited, with only 5,515 coupes made. From a performance standpoint, the 95 HP and 10 second 0-60 time are laughable today, but put the GTA at the same level as respected rivals like the GTI and CRX. Also included with the GTA package was lots of sweet styling cues, like the large alloys, bodykit, and interior modifications. This forgotten 80s pocket-rocket (much like the Chevy Sprint Turbo) is a little mossy, but still looks sharp with its body kit and bright red paint.

1976 Chevrolet Monza 2+2 Spyder

Bringing back memories of the Mustang and Corvair with its name, the Monza 2+2's "Spyder" package arrived in 1976. Included was a 4.3-liter V8, special striping and badging, and sporty styling cues. The Monza originally arrived in 1975, intended to compete with the downsized Mustang II, and was based on the Vega. I've always thought the Monzas (and their similar GM cousins) were fairly good-looking cars, and this one, despite the fact it appears to have fallen on hard times, is no exception. Although it has had a non-original (spray paint?) paint job applied, a hint of the original graphics remain on the spoiler.
