1985 Datsun Nissan 200SX Turbo

The 3rd gen 200SX made its debut in 1984, and lasted until 1988. Like its predecessor, it was available as a fastback or a notchback. These 200SXs always seemed surprisingly large to me, based on their looks and competitors of the time. This car has a 1.8 turbo, which calls for a spoiler, hood bulge, and lots of badges to identify it as such.

1985 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe

The new, "aero style" Thunderbird appeared in 1983, as did the sporty Turbo Coupe. Early cars had 140 horsepower, but gained 15 HP in 1985. After the big, slow, and soft Thunderbirds of the 70s and early eighties, this 9th generation car was finally modern and desirable. Although they are still relatively common, the clean condition (except for under the trim on the doors) and the the fact that it's a Turbo Coupe prompted me to take pictures.

1987 Chevrolet Sprint Turbo

Although it had just 70 HP, the Sprint Turbo weighed only 1,633 pounds, which was enough for a 0-60 time of 8.7 secs, on par with a Celica GT-S of the same period. Sporty hubcaps and a bodykit distinguished it from regular Sprints, and made it an interesting hot hatch of the 80s. This Sprint was recently washed and moved onto the street, after sitting in a driveway covered in moss for a year or two.
