1982 Toyota Celica GT

The 3rd gen Celica was introduced in 1981 with a very angular body, the style at the time. Like the Corolla AE86 of later years, it was available in both notchback and fastback/liftback body styles, and the styling was similar as well. Earlier cars had the exposed, though slanted, headlights, while later cars' headlights were fully hidden. Performance was okay, but a GT-S model was added for those who wanted a sporty Celica. This one looks great with the fender flares, 4-spoke rims, and pre-facelift headlights.

 

 

 

 

1990 Isuzu Impulse

The second-gen Impulse was introduced in 1990, along with the identical (except for styling) Geo Storm. It replaced the 80s wedge Impulse as Isuzu's sporty coupe. Lotus helped out with the suspension, which of course meant plenty of badges was needed. Available was a 4WD, turbo RS, but this car just has the 1.6 DOHC. The Impulse is a pretty interesting '90s sports car, and the quad circular lights in front are certainly unique (and better looking than the Storm's pop-ups).

 

 

 

1985 Bertone X1/9

The X1/9 was first sold as a Fiat in 1972, and when they retired it 10 years later, Bertone took up production for seven more years. The X1/9 competed with cars like the Porsche 914, rather than the outdated MGB, and was met with favorable reviews. Its wedge styling still looked fresh in the 80s, and updates meant it sold reasonably well throughout its production. This one looks sweet with its bright blue paint, and extremely '80s "Tron" wheels. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1976 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

The third generation C3 Corvette was introduced in 1968, and lasted all they until 1982, putting this 1976 right in the middle. The C3 was gradually restyled throughout the seventies until it had both the front and rear polyurethane bumpers shown here. Also in 1976 was an increase in power of the base engine, to 180 HP, and 210 HP for the L82. This car stands out with its bright yellow paint, tasteful modern alloys, and sleek shape.

  

 

1973 Porsche 914 2.0

The 914 was developed by VW and Porsche, but Porsche was the only company to put it into production, after worrying their image might be hurt if it was sold as a VW. It replaced the 912 as the cheapest and most entry-level Porsche. Most 914s had Flat-4 engines, while a few, rarer cars had Flat-6s. Today, they are an interesting alternative to the usual British sports cars, especially with the 914's unique roof.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1970 Porsche 911T

The Porsche 911 is one of the most famous and recognizable sports cars in the world, if not the most. Introduced in 1964, the 911 is still made today, and still has the same shape as the original. The 911T was the cheaper model, less expensive than the 911S. The "T" stood for touring. This 911T has chrome Fuchs rims, and is slightly lowered. 911s don't get any prettier than early cars like this one.
