1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

The Monte Carlo was Chevy's personal luxury coupe, and was introduced in 1970. Although the image was supposedly that of an elegant, luxurious car, the Monte Carlo was available as a SS, with a huge 454 CI engine. The single headlights, blocky rear fenders, and sweeping roof line made for a recognizable, and good-looking car. This one is lowered slightly, and the beige-on-beige color suits it well.

 

 

1968 Ford LTD

Though it was the final year of the 1st  generation, the 1968 LTD looked nothing like previous model years. New were the hidden headlights, and an overall styling refresh. The LTD was introduced as an affordable-luxury car; based on basic Fords yet upgraded with premium features. This LTD has a middle-range 390, though monster 427 and 428 were available. Standing out with its vinyl roof and sweet hubcaps, this LTD has great patina: well-used, but not uncared for.

1969 Plymouth Valiant 100

Basic transportation at its best: the Plymouth Valiant. Has there been such a simple, reliable, and perfect for its purpose car since? The slant six will run forever, so too will the rest of it. Introduced in 1960 to compete with small compacts from the U.S. and abroad, the Valiant lasted until 1976 and, although it was available in fancy trim packages, no one cared. They are still common today, a testament to their reliability, but each Dart and Valiant has its own unique character. This one's appliance beige paint accents the swoop on the lower panels, and looks great with the paint-matched rims.
