The second generation Econoline was introduced in 1969, replacing the Falcon-based compact 1st gen. This was the first modern American van, meaning it had a hood. In 1969, Dodge and Chevy both still had cab-over-engine vans. This "luxury" Club Wagon has been converted into a camper, and looks great in white and green two-tone.

1990 VW Vanagon Carat and 1986 VW AWD Transporter
Introduced as a replacement for the classic VW T2 Bus, the Transporter arrived in 1979. In the U.S., it was know as the Vanagon, and was said to combine the best of a van and a station wagon. The Transporter pickup was never officially imported to the U.S., but is a fairly popular truck to import. The Carat was a top trim level in 1990 and 91, with all options. Both Transporters shown here have custom 4 headlight grills, and the Carat stands out with its bodykit and sporty alloy rims.
